packing!

i’m leaving this evening to go to virginia for my best friend’s wedding. i’m beyond thrilled. i spent much of last night packing.

today, i’m thankful for packing.

i generally do a lot of packing. go away for a week here and a week there. road trips, planes, trains, boat trips – everything.

and i always espouse so much hatred for packing.

 

but secretly i love it.

i love picking out what i’m going to wear.

i love the trepidation of going on a trip.

i love all the effort put into packing up a suitcase, printing out tickets, going to the airport, going through security, and boarding.

sure it’s hectic, but it’s so great. thinking about another adventure i’m going on.

pulling my clothes from the closet thinking “yeah, i’ll wear this friday”, and then wearing it friday and experiencing memories in an outfit i seriously contemplated.
